Eraser – Safely erase all your data:
Now you look me straight in the eyes! Oh boy, I can tell you’re like just about everybody: You got things to hide, I know you do!
And that’s precisely why today, I suggest you install Eraser. It’s just a little software, but it allows you to securely delete any file.
As a matter of fact, as you delete files from your machine, you should know that the right tools can easily restore them, even after you’ve emptied your recycle bin. Which can be … embarrassing. The only way out: Erase a file and then encrypt the disk space on which your file had been stored.
And this is exactly what Eraser has to offer. You can select the encryption level and then schedule automatic erasure tasks. That way, you can schedule regular cleaning intervals for folders, the recycle bin, or disk space. Which is great if you have to empty temp folders or to protect your recycle bin and forget about it.
These functions set aside, the most interesting feature is accessible by giving your mouse a right click. From the context menu of the file explorer, you can directly and safely erase any file.
It’s a great tool I strongly recommend for all paranoids among you who hate to be tracked in all their deeds.
