سر جو شبیر (ع) کا زندان میں لائے خُدام
بهائی کے سر کو کیا زینبِ (ع) مُضطر نے سلام
تها گرفتارِ سلاسل جو زمآنے کا امام
اُٹها تعظیم کو لے کر شئہِ (ع) مظلوم کا نام

طشت حلقے میں لئے کُشتئہ غم رونے لگے
سرِ شبیر(ع) کو دیکها تو حرم رونے لگے

سب نے ماتم کِیا مل کر ہوئی مجلس برپا
چوم کر سر کو عقیدت سے یہ زینب (ع) نے کہا
دُکهہ اٹهائے ہیں بہت تم سے بچهڑ کر بهیا
اپنی آغوش میں سر بالی سکینہ(ع) نے لیا

رو رہے تهے سبهی رُکتے ہی کہاں تهے آنسو
سرِ شبیر (ع) کی آنکهوں سے رَواں تهے آنسو

حال کہنے کا یہ لمحہ جو سکینہ (ع) کو ملا
سرِ شبیر (ع) کو سینے سے لگا کر یہ کہا
چهوڑ کر ہم کو گئے آپ کہاں اے بابا
آپ کے بعد ستم ٹوٹے ہیں ہم پر کیا کیا

میرے رخسار پہ جو نیل عیاں ہیں بابا
یہ مرے منہ پہ طمانچوں کے نشاں ہیں بابا

آپ میداں کو سدهارے تو بڑا ظلم ہوا
آگ خیموں میں لگی جل گیا ساماں سارا
چِهن گئے میرے گُہر جل گیا میرا کرتا
روتی پهرتی تهی میں اس دشتِ بلا میں تنہا

نہ دیا ہم کو کسی نے بهی سہارا بابا
پوچهتا کوئی نہ تها حال ہمارا بابا

روتے روتے هوئی خاموش سکینہ (ع) اک بار
کہا زینب (ع) نے کہ میں تیری مصیبت کے نثار
آ مری گود میں آجا مری پیاری دلدار
پر سکینہ (ع) نہ هلی اپنی جگہ سے زنہار

جا ملی باپ سے وه باپ کی پیاری بچی
چل بسی شام کے زنداں میں دلاری بچی

بیبیاں غسل جو دینے لگیں بچی کو وہاں
پیرہن خون بهرا پسلیوں میں تها چسپاں
هوگئے زخموں میں تبدیل جو دُرّوں کے نشاں

کانپتے هاتهوں سے عابد (ع) نے بنائی جو تربت
دفن کی اُس میں حسین ابنِ علی کی دولت
نہ سنی اور نہ دیکهی کہیں ایسی غربت
دل بهر آیا تو هوئی حد سے زیاده رِقَّت

بچی کے حال پہ سب کشتہءِ غم روتے تهے
قبر حلقے میں لئے اہلِ حرم روتے تهے

قید سے ہو کے رہا جب یہ مدینے پہنچے
ماں کے کانوں میں سکینہ (ع) کے سخن گونجتے تهے
جو ستم بچی پہ ٹوٹے وه بهلائے نہ گئے
روتی پهرتی تهی وه مظلوم یہی کہه کہه کے

هو کے جب شام کے زنداں سے هوا آتی ہے
اے سکینہ(ع) ترے رونے کی صدا آتی ہے

From The Holy Quran: Allah's mercy and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house. (11:73)"

Allah desires to keep away uncleanness from you people of the House and make you pure as pure can be.
Or in other translation: Allah only intends to remove uncleanliness from you, O people of the Prophet's household, and purify you completely. (33:33)

The Messenger of Allah said: "It is probable that I be called soon and I will respond. Then, I leave behind me among you two weighty (very worthy and important) things:

"Never, never, shall you get astray if you attach yourselves to these TWO.The Book of Allah and the way of my progeny AHLE BAIT "

The Book of Allah (i.e. the Qur'an), which is a stretched string from the heaven to the earth, and my progeny, my Ahlul-Bait; for verily Allah, The Merciful, the Aware, informed me that never, never, will these two get separated from each other until they meet me at the Houd of Kauthar (the Pond of Abundance). Therefore, be careful how you will treat due to those two in my absence."

Unlike any other city, Karbala has its named engraved in the memory of generations, and in the expanse of the Muslim world...

Believers remember that name with sorrow and distress, for they remember the history of the master of all martyrs, Imam Husayn, peace be upon him, and his sacrifice for Islam.

The wave of visitors never stopped coming to Karbala, from the time the Umayyad and Abbaside caliphs prevented the construction of the shrines to the time the believers were able to build the precinct, despite the hardships and difficulties imposed on them.

And today, since Karbala is witnessing new calamities, and the mausoleums of Imam Husayn [a] and his companions are subjected to destruction and neglect, and visitors are prevented from reaching that place, it is suitable to familiarise ourselves with Karbala...

Mukhtar ibn Abu Obaidah Thaqafi built an enclosure around the grave, in the form of a mosque and erected a dome over the grave. There were two entrances to this building.

A roof was built over a part of this mosque and two entrances were added during the reign of as-Saffah.

Wahhabis attacked Kerbala, spoiled the screens and portico and looted the shrine.

Fateh Ali Shah Qachar repaired the screens and plated them with silver. He also plated the centre of the main portico with gold and repaired the damage done by the Wahhabi robbers.

Dr. Syedna Taher Saifud-din, 51st Dai-el-Mutlaq of the Dawoodi Bohra community offered a set of screens of solid silver which are fixed in the shrine.

Dr. Syedna Taher Saifud-din, 5lst Dai-el-Mutlaq of the Dawoodi Bohra community rebuilt the western minaret.

Syed Abdul Rasul Khalsi, Administrator of Karbala acquired the houses in the neighbourhood of the courtyard according to the price fixed by the government, to build a road around the holy mausoleum and to extend the courtyard.
